The Board Meeting is a monthly board game meet-up where our entire library is free to play, and we have volunteers on hand to teach you their favorite games. Each month we introduce a special theme or mechanic to ensure there's always something new and exciting to play.

This month's theme: Worker Placement! As one of the evergreen genres of the hobby, worker placement games are the perfect blend of long-term strategy, short-term adaptability, and (often) chaotic fun. You are the leader of some faction or group who must, on your turn, decide to which locations you “send your workers” for that turn. The board will consist of many possible locations that each generate different resources, allow for special abilities, or even unlock other spaces! But keep your eye on your opponents—they might be angling for the same resources, or fill up a space before you get a chance to put your workers there! We’ll have plenty of long and short options on offer, such as Everdell, Caverna, Agricola, the West Kingdom series, Parks, and even the new sequel to Scythe, Expeditions! Now get to work everybody!
