Baltimore Go Club Meetup

The Baltimore Go Club meets at No Land Beyond every Thursday starting at 6:30pm. Come out and challenge members of the club or learn to play this ancient strategy game.

Go is an abstract strategy board game for two players, in which the aim is to surround more territory than the opponent. The game was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played to the present day.

Despite its relatively simple rules, Go is very complex. Compared to chess, Go has both a larger board with more scope for play and longer games, and, on average, many more alternatives to consider per move. The lower bound on the number of legal board positions in Go has been estimated to be 2 × 10170 which is greater than the number of atoms in the universe.

Calling all Gunpla enthusiasts and hobbyists! Get ready for a night of creativity and camaraderie at Gunpla Builder's Night.

Bring your favorite Gundam plastic model kits (often shortened to Gunpla) and join us for a fun, social evening dedicated to building, customizing, and sharing tips and tricks with fellow builders.

Builders are encouraged to bring their own kits and supplies, and we'll have a few kits on-hand for newcomers to the hobby as well.

Whether you're seeking advice on a complex build or just want to talk mecha, this is the place to be. Mark your calendars, you won't want to miss out on this exciting gathering of Gunpla enthusiasts. Looking forward to building with you!

Magic The Gathering Cube Night!

Every Tuesday at No Land Beyond the big cube brains behind Lucky Paper Radio host Cube Night!

What’s a Cube you ask? Well…a cube is a large curated collection of (often powerful sometimes purposely underpowered) cards used for drafting and playing Limited. Drafting a cube is similar to drafting booster packs, but instead of drafting from three fifteen-card Magic booster packs, you draft from fifteen-card "packs" that you create from the cube

Don’t play Magic? No problem! Check out the game library and grab a game for you and your friends to play.

Riichi Mahjong Club

Come learn how to play Riichi Mahjong! You've probably seen mahjong tiles in the solitaire matching game. But this Japanese multiplayer variant is like a mixture of poker and rummy that you play with tiles. But you can't just fold if you have a bad hand! You have to carefully navigate each draw and discard to stay alive. You never really know how much danger you (or your opponents) might be in! Riichi is the premier way to play in the US, and we want to expand our local playgroup and teach everyone how great this game is. Practically infinite depth achieved with simple base mechanics. Lots of room for personal style, too! No experience or familiarity required.
