A PROTAG × No Land Beyond Event

Dungeons & Dragons at a board game bar: a match made in heaven.  Have a good time, roll some dice, and maybe learn something about yourself along the way.

PROTAG is teaming up with No Land Beyond for an evening of tabletop adventure that's open to everyone,seasoned veterans and greenhorns alike. We'll start with a quick intro to PROTAG and how games can support mental health settings (we promise to keep it short).  Next we teach you how to play, and finally break into tables for guided one-shot adventures run by experienced DMs. All adventures are built around mental health themes like self-acceptance, setting boundaries, and navigating tough emotions.  That therapeutic work is wrapped in fun genre parodies and assisted by the freeing nature of gaming itself. No lectures, no homework.

No experience necessary. Pre-made characters provided. Show up ready to roll some dice!

This is for you if:

• You've been meaning to try D&D and haven't found the right table

• You're interested in how gaming and mental health connect

• You're a therapist, counselor, or student curious about game-based approaches

• You already play and just want to try something a little different

We hope to build this event into a reoccurring series. Come check it out, meet some good people, and see what happens when you sneak mindfulness into your fun fantasy games.

Every week the Sorcery Social Club hosts casual games of Sorcery: Contested Ream, an old school Magic influenced tactical collectible card game. Bring your own deck or borrow one from members of the Sorcery Social Club, playmats will be provided and there’s no entry fee to participate in casual play.

Join us every Wednesday for casual Commander night! Hang out with old friends or make new ones with our walk-up, non-league Commander night. Bring your favorite decks of any power level and jump into a pod. It’s that simple!

This is a beginner friendly event, and players are typically happy to lend a deck! If you’re interested in learning more, stop by!

Come learn how to play Riichi Mahjong! You've probably seen mahjong tiles in the solitaire matching game. But this Japanese multiplayer variant is like a mixture of poker and rummy that you play with tiles. But you can't just fold if you have a bad hand! You have to carefully navigate each draw and discard to stay alive. You never really know how much danger you (or your opponents) might be in! Riichi is the premier way to play in the US, and we want to expand our local playgroup and teach everyone how great this game is. Practically infinite depth achieved with simple base mechanics. Lots of room for personal style, too! No experience or familiarity required.

The Baltimore Go Club meets at No Land Beyond every Thursday starting at 6:30pm. Come out and challenge members of the club or learn to play this ancient strategy game.

Go is an abstract strategy board game for two players, in which the aim is to surround more territory than the opponent. The game was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played to the present day.

Despite its relatively simple rules, Go is very complex. Compared to chess, Go has both a larger board with more scope for play and longer games, and, on average, many more alternatives to consider per move. The lower bound on the number of legal board positions in Go has been estimated to be 2 × 10170 which is greater than the number of atoms in the universe.

Every Thursday No Land Beyond is now offering an official Pauper tournament! Pauper is a constructed Magic The Gathering format where only cards that have been printed at Common rarity are allowed. Join us, planeswalkers and spell-slingers, for a monthly casual tournament of the multiverse's favorite game, Commander!

Every 4th Saturday at 12 PM, we'll be firing off a few rounds of casual commander, where points are scored not by winning, but by a non-traditional points-based system built out by Bossmonster Mark. $10 gets you into the tournament and a chance to win a ton of great promos, packs, and cards.

May the Force be with you friends. Join us every Saturday for our casual Star Wars: Unlimited weekly play event! Whether it’s a casual game or two, Premier, Draft, or Sealed we’re always happy to play with y’all!

This is a beginner friendly event. If you’ve never played Star Wars: Unlimited, or are new to card games as a whole we’re happy to introduce the game and teach it as well!

All participants receive a weekly play pack, with additional prize support available for competitive play events! All competitive play operates as a three round, best of three tournament with the most successful players competing for top spot. Keep an eye on our discord as we coordinate our weekly event!

• $10 entry fee for prizing, with two packs entered into the pool per participant.

• $40 for a Pre-Release box or 6 booster packs for a Sealed tournament

No Land Beyond presents the Summer Swap Series, a rotating swap meet of different items happening at least once a month all the way through August! 

If you have a pile of stuff you’ve been meaning to go through and donate, get rid of, or exchange now's the time! We’ll have five different events, each with a different theme and items to exchange.

This swap is all about Plants!

Share clippings from your favorite plants or trade one of your potted plants for a new one, or get rid of some old tools and supplies. If you’ve ever wanted to get into gardening or just need to free up space in your tool shed this is the swap for you!

All you have to do is prepare any plant clippings, gardening supplies, and anything else gardening related you want to donate and bring them to the swap. Once you’re here head on out to our back room or patio (weather permitting) and add them to the shared pile.

During the swap feel free to spend some time perusing the plants and tools other folks brought in, and snag any of them that you would like to add to your own collection. While you’re at it, feel free to chat with other folks at the swap and make trade offers!

At the end of the event take home anything you’ve snagged, and everything left behind we will take care of.
