We're pleased to announce that Charm Person Games is bringing Critical Misses back for our third year of community Dungeons and Dragons!
We're an inclusive group for women and non-binary people comfortable in women's spaces no matter your experience or skill level. Our adventures are run so that every session is a self-contained story. Have scheduling conflicts and need to miss a session? No problem: come back when you’re able! However, players who show up consistently will advance faster and experience more of the story.
Weren’t around for the first two years? Never played before? Don't own dice? Came to one session in our first year and now you're thinking of returning? We'd love to have you! We welcome all players and newcomers at any point in our campaign. We play at No Land Beyond at 2125 Maryland Ave.
In year three, we’ll be using the Spelljammer setting. It’s high fantasy in space! You’ll travel through the vast expanses of interplanetary space seeking adventure. Inspirations include the Ptolemaic system of astronomy, Jules Verne and contemporaries, steampunk and the Age of Sail (1550-1850ish). All your favorite fantasy races, and a few fun new ones, travel through space on magically-powered starships called spelljammers.
Technology is roughly in the Age of Sail, which means cannons and muskets are present, along with whatever inspires us and you! But this is still a magical and fantastical setting, so you’ll find non-scientific facets like the fact that any sufficiently-sized object creates gravity like earth and attracts bubbles of oxygen that can last up to three months.
Email us at criticalmissesnlb@gmail.com if you have any questions. We can’t wait to play with you!
